Halloween Inspiration
This year, I wanted to create my own Halloween costume inspired by the color red, focusing on how color alone can communicate character at first glance. Red is used as a study of strength and personality, exploring how a single dominant hue can define presence, emotion, and identity. Through this project, I examine the relationship between color and persona, translating abstract traits into a wearable costume. The design is intentionally dramatic, drawing from the visual language of theatre to heighten scale, gesture, and emotion. At the same time, it embraces the Halloween mood, balancing darkness and celebration through expressive form, texture, and bold color.

Sketch Analysis
Through sketching and drafting directly on the mannequin, the costume evolved significantly from initial concepts to the final piece. This process involved constant alterations—adjusting proportions, layering, and structural elements—to achieve the intended silhouette. As my first experience draping fabric on a mannequin, I explored how different textiles behave in three-dimensional space, learning how weight, drape, and stretch influence the form.
