WHITE TEMPEST
Sculpting the Storm / Experimental Costume
A study in transformation, White Tempest explores how limited resources can become a language for movement, volume, and atmosphere. Developed within a $20 material budget for the $7 Challenge, the costume translates the turbulence of a storm into an expressive silhouette through unconventional material manipulation and sculptural construction.

VISUAL INSPIRATION
Drawn to the snowy owl’s quiet presence, pale plumage, and striking pattern of dark markings against white, this study became the visual starting point for the costume. The softness of its feathers contrasts with the sharpness of its gaze - an interplay of delicacy, stillness, and quiet strength translated into the costume’s texture and silhouette.
